Value Lab — Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions (the "Terms") are a legally binding agreement between you and DesignMy Education ("Value Lab", "we", "us", "our") governing your access to and use of the Value Lab platform, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service").

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1) Eligibility

The Service is intended for users who are 13 years of age or older.
If you are under 13, you may only use the Service with appropriate consent and oversight by a parent or guardian and/or a participating institution.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child under 13 has used the Service or provided information, contact us at team@designmy.net and we will take steps to delete the information.

2) Accounts and access

You may need an account to use parts of the Service.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activity under your account.
You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it reasonably up to date.

3) Acceptable use

You agree not to:

violate any law or regulation
impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation
attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other accounts
interfere with the Service, including through abuse, scraping, or automated requests that degrade performance
upload or submit content that is unlawful, harmful, harassing, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise inappropriate for library audiences
submit personal identifying information about yourself or others in public-facing areas of the Service

We may suspend or terminate access if we believe you have violated these Terms or if your use creates risk for the Service or other users.

4) User content and submissions

The Service may allow you to create or submit content (for example, marketplace submissions, links, images, and feedback) ("User Content").

You retain ownership of your User Content. However, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, modify (for formatting and technical purposes), and display your User Content as needed to operate, maintain, and improve the Service and to administer moderation workflows.

If you choose to publish or share User Content through public areas of the Service, it may be visible to other users or the public. Do not include sensitive or personal information in content you intend to be public.

We may review, reject, remove, or restrict User Content at any time to enforce these Terms, comply with law, or protect the Service and other users.

You represent that:

you have the rights needed to submit your User Content
your User Content does not infringe the rights of others
your User Content complies with these Terms and applicable laws

5) Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, and content (excluding User Content), is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service unless we give you written permission.

6) Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

7) Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

8) Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.

9) Third-party links

The Service may contain links to third-party sites or services. We are not responsible for third-party content, policies, or practices.

10) Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if we reasonably believe it is necessary to protect the Service, our users, or to enforce these Terms.

11) Service changes and availability

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Service at any time. We are not liable for any inability to access or use the Service due to downtime, maintenance, or changes to the Service.

12) Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
